There are four types of sexual murderers: Sadistic, Angry, Witness Elimination and ‘Others’. This article will cover the first two categories.

The Sadistic Sexual Murderer

The sadistic sexual murderer presents distinct characteristics that differentiates him from the angry sexual murderer.

For example, the sadistic murderer will be highly intelligent with past secondary education. Hi prefers jobs that place him in contact with death or authority figures. His lack of empathy makes him highly psychopathic and antisocial, narcissistic with schizoid or obsessive compulsive personality disorders.

During childhood, the sadist experienced enuresis (inability to control urination), cruelty towards animals and a history of fire setting and breaking and entering. Moreover, the sadistic murderer will have had sexual fantasies involving the humiliation or harming of himself or others. He will have had paraphilias (erotic, intense, sexually arousing fantasies) that involved inanimate objects, children or nonconsenting adults. This murderer has often expressed exhibitionist, fetishistic, voyeuristic, paedophilic or sexual sadistic behaviour.
